Trapstar Invasion, Selfridges Birmingham.

by Aaron Dezonie

30th April 2014 saw the first invasion of the year from our London family Trapstar.
Descending on Selfridges London, Birmingham and Manchester, Trapstar arrived armed with their new exclusive 17-piece collection available in store at all Selfridges locations, and worldwide via their web store at www.iamatrapstar.com.
It is clear from the outset that Trapstar have pulled no punches with their new collection, with every piece paying remarkable attention to detail, whilst maintaining the high quality that Trapstar have become renowned for.
The entire collection perfectly captures the seamless blend between high fashion and streetwear, with both standout pieces and more understated items that can be worn effortlessly as part of any fit.
The collection contains a number of heavyweight pieces, with the first being the ‘Redline bomber jacket,’ constructed from premium butter soft leather and featuring a red line across the seem on the rear, in keeping with the continuing military theme and would be complimented perfectly by any t shirt in the collection.
Another of my personal favourite pieces is the signature knitwear sweater. With a striking all over design, this piece is guaranteed to turn heads. Made from soft merino wool, this sweater would be the perfect addition to any outfit.
With music for the launch being handled by VIP, the atmosphere was lively and drew plenty of interested customers all looking for some Trapstar goodness.
Overall, the event was a massive success, not only establishing Trapstar as a champion of British streetwear culture in a legendary British establishment, but also allowing for a family to come together and celebrate our successes, just like families should.
